Export and share
Share links
Uploading an export and sending a link instead of a file.
Sharing needs an account. Click Sign in in the editor's library sidebar, in the export dialog, or from the menu bar. It opens your browser; there is no separate signup, and the app notices on its own when you are done.
Nothing about signing in is needed to record, edit or export. It exists for sharing and for the licence.
Share Link
After an export, the dialog offers Share Link. Click it and the file uploads; the button shows the progress. When it is done the link is shown and copied, ready to paste.
The link is prequel.sh/v/ followed by a short code. Anyone with it can watch, with no account and nothing to install.
The share page
The page plays the video and, when the recording was transcribed, shows chapters drawn from what was said and offers the captions as subtitles.
Your shared library
Every recording you have shared is listed at prequel.sh/app. Open it from the menu bar with Open Shared Library, or from Shared Library in the app's sidebar. From there you can copy a link again, or delete a recording so its link stops working.
What is uploaded
The exported video, its poster, and the transcript when there is one. The raw recording, the camera track and the edit stay on your Mac.
